Nerul Roars Against Drugs: SIES College & Police Lead High-Energy Anti-Addiction Rally

The streets of Nerul came alive today with thunderous chants of “Quit drugs… Build your future!” as SIES College students joined hands with the Nerul Police Station to launch a powerful anti-drug awareness rally under the state’s Nasha Mukti Abhiyan (De-addiction Campaign).

Rally Sparks Citywide Buzz
Starting from the main gate of SIES College, over a hundred spirited students marched through key stretches of Sector 3, 11, and 15, raising slogans like “Drugs are a trap, stay away” and “Let’s build a drug-free India.” Their passionate cries echoed through busy streets, drawing curious citizens who paused to witness the youth-led movement.

Powerful Street Play at Nerul Station
The rally reached its peak at Nerul Railway Station, where students performed a gripping street play depicting the destructive consequences of drug addiction and the strength of a clean, healthy lifestyle. The emotional performance received a rousing round of applause from an appreciative audience.

Strong Police-Student Partnership
Around 100–150 students, along with 3 police officers and 15 personnel from Nerul Police, participated in the march. Senior Police Inspector Brahmanand Naikwadi lauded the students’ enthusiasm, declaring, “The energy of our youth is the greatest weapon to eradicate drug abuse.”

A Clear Message to Addicts
The rally sent out a firm warning to those involved in drug abuse:

“Stop now—or society will stand against you!”

With its electrifying slogans and dramatic performances, the initiative has infused fresh determination into the community to fight for a drug-free future.
