Saleh Othman Ahmad, a foreign national living in Kondhwa area, (52 years old) native res. Amen Desh had come to Pune for his wife’s treatment. On February 8, 2024, while he was walking on foot with his wife at Ashirwad Chowk, a four-wheeler Honda City car approached him and Isam in the said car spoke to him in Arabic and told him that he was the police and wanted to verify your belongings and your identity card. Called close. At that time he pretended to show his identity card. At that time, as the foreigner was afraid and believed that the person in the car was a policeman, he showed him the documents from his pocket and also gave him the money from his pocket. Within a few minutes, they stole 500 Saudi Riyals, 3 thousand US dollars, 53 thousand Indian cash from the foreigner and ran away.
In this regard, a case was registered at Kondhwa Police Station Pune under Section 420, 406, 419, 171, 34 of IPC. After checking 600+ CCTV footages and following a total distance of 750 km from Pune to Daman and back to Pune, the accused were apprehended within 10 hours and 30 minutes of the incident.
Accused 1) Sinkar Ali Khan, 44 years, Ambassador Hotel Near Tangpura South Delhi, 2) Karim Feroze Khan, (29 years), Res.18 3rd Floor I Balak Kasturba Nagar Lajpatnagar South Delhi 3) Irfan Hussain Hashmi, (44 years) , Near Ambassador Hotel, Jangpura South Delhi 4) Mehbub Abdul Hamdi Khan, (59 years) Near Ambassador Hotel, Jangpura South Delhi has been arrested after being found guilty. Also, after expertly investigating the accused, 1) Kondhwa Police Station Pune, B.D. Vs. Section 170, 419, 471, 420, 34 2) After revealing that he had committed 2 crimes under IPC Section 420, 406, 419, 171, 34 at Kondhwa Police Station, Pune, he recovered three thousand US Dollars, five hundred Saudi Riyals, 53 thousand cash and the amount used to commit the crime. A Honda City car worth 2 lakhs was seized.
